Welcome to Democracy & Dialogue Forum Armenia, also known as DDF Armenia. Our forum is a platform aimed at establishing a democratic culture within Armenian society and the political landscape. It is no secret that post-Soviet states, including Armenia, are taking important steps towards establishing democracy. However, democracy is not just about fair and transparent elections, but also civic engagement, political culture, dialogue, and political party spectrum with substantive ideas. A society that understands democracy can have a say in it.

Our primary objective is to help Armenia’s young and developing democracy culture by consolidating the democratic process, involving people in strengthening democracy, and contributing to creating a free society that monitors the state’s democratic progress.

The establishment of liberal democracy is not just an electoral tool but an essential component of strong institutions, rule of law, and welfare state. Thus, the lack of awareness carries the danger that countries and societies that have found their way into democracy slip back into old structures. Therefore, it is important to create awareness of liberal democratic culture, a healthy political dialogue for all layers of civil society.

Considering the issues described above, our goals are to create awareness of democracy for youth, emphasize democracy studies in universities, create a mature, professional debate platform on democracy, create discussion formats between politicians and specific groups, and mutual experience exchange between Armenian and foreign experts.

We intend to achieve our goals by using different channels to raise awareness of the importance of democracy and creating a better substantive culture of debate. Our methods include information campaigns, a web portal with informative materials, a journal for democracy, workshops, cooperation, and events.

Join us on our journey towards establishing a democratic culture within Armenian society and the political landscape. Together, we can make a difference!
